Platform Access

Once Phase 2 is complete, your onboarding contact receives login instructions for your team over email. This section covers first login, multi-factor authentication setup, and the difference between the Beta and Production environments.

Logging in for the first time

Once Phase 2 is complete, your onboarding contact will receive login instructions for your team over email. The Production environment is accessible at trade.electronx.com.

On first login, you will be prompted to set a new password and register a multi-factor authentication (MFA) app. ElectronX recommends using Microsoft Authenticator. If you are on an iPhone, use the Microsoft Authenticator app specifically - the default iOS Passwords app does not work correctly for this step.

Setting up Microsoft Authenticator

  1. Open Microsoft Authenticator on your device.
  2. Tap the + button and select Other Account.
  3. Point your camera at the QR code displayed on the ElectronX login page.
  4. The account will register automatically. On subsequent logins, enter the six-digit code from the app when prompted. The code refreshes every 30 seconds.

Demo account & test environment

ElectronX offers a Beta environment for testing the front-end application and the FIX API for firms building automated integrations. To request access to either, email support@electronx.com.

Beta vs. Production environment

ElectronX maintains two distinct environments: Beta and Production.

Beta

Beta access is available prior to completing the full onboarding process. You can request Beta credentials from our team at any time. We will provide you with login instructions and test funds so you can place test trades and explore the platform before going live. Beta is also the environment used for FIX API conformance testing. If you intend to connect via the FIX API, you must complete conformance testing in Beta before Production FIX API access will be granted. Contact support@electronx.com to request Beta access or API documentation.

Production

Production access is granted upon completion of the onboarding process. You must fund your account before you can place orders in this environment. All orders in Production are live and bonafide. There is no test mode in Production.
